Why does my music stop playing in my car

Music unexpectedly stops when my phone is connected to a Bluetooth device

Problem:

  1. Online streamed music automatically pauses after a given period of time.
  2. Local on-device music playback automatically pauses after a period of time.
  3. After the Bluetooth car kit screen is switched, music playback automatically pauses.

Solution:

  1. If music played from an online streaming source automatically pauses, it may be due to the fact that the Wi-Fi connection is broken when your phone enters standby mode. If this is the case, go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi > Configure > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep, and select Always. You may also try playing local music on your device.
  2. Check whether your phone has been disconnected from the Bluetooth device. If the distance between your phone and the Bluetooth device is too great, the connection between them may have been broken, resulting in a pause in music playback. Even if the connection is re-established, the music will not automatically play. Therefore, ensure that your phone remains within the operating range of the Bluetooth device when playing music.
  3. Some Bluetooth car kits cannot play music through Bluetooth while on the home screen. If you switch between screens, music playback will automatically pause. Therefore, whenever playing music, switch to the media player screen.
  4. Check whether your Bluetooth device supports pausing music. If yes, you may have accidentally pressed the pause button on your headset, resulting in a pause in music playback. You may also perform music playback operations using your phone.
